2016 AT&T APCA Dragon Boat

What's the one thing that our dragon boaters want to know each year? Some may say it's the team's t-shirt color! This year our team's color was purple and the two adult dragon boat teams proudly sported the vibrant purple tees at the 2016 Seattle Dragon Boat Festival. APCA submitted two teams to compete in the festival. The AT&T APCA Fire Dragons was led by Jack Quan and John Liu while the AT&T APCA Power Dragons was led by Brandon Duong and Cheryl McMillen. This year APCA also launched a youth dragon boat team as well. They did an amazing job and you can read more about the APCA Cowabunga Juniors team in our news blog. Both teams raced in the 250M Novice Races with 11 novice corporate teams competing. APCA's dragon boat program is a great activity to foster employee engagement as this program focuses on health and fitness as well as representing the AT&T brand at the a major racing festival in the Seattle metropolitan area. Competition was fierce as with every year and one of our teams was able to bring home bronze in the Corporate Division B Race. Great job Power Dragons team! The Seattle Dragon Boat Festival provides APCA with a great opportunity to establish an AT&T presence as we compete with other major corporations in our community. The AT&T charging station proved to be a success this year as it provided a beacon to draw spectators to the AT&T tent to charge their phones. The Seattle Dragon Boat festival provided APCA and AT&T with a wonderful venue to engage and advance the AT&T spirit of community engagement.
